Inspiration
Bethellowed is an original casual game that I have been playing around with for a while now. It is inspired in part by Othello and Bejewelled. It is still very much a work-in-progress, but I do have a playable version of it using programmer art available now. It is being developed with T2D.
The storm
Add in the concept of painting the background as the way out of the level. The background can be painted more than one time (think Qbert), depending on level difficulty. There will be a tradeoff between quickly finishing a level by painting it with plenty of timer bar left and scoring as much as possible all the while dodging the end-game by popping the buggers.
It doesn't make much sense that the more blocks that the player pops the better chance that a new bugger will show up. We should change it so that buggers can just show up on the field of play after a move has been taken. We might want to let the player know where the next group of baddies are going to show up one turn prior, though.
